Autumn is here!

We have had a busy summer with guests, some of whom are repeat visitors which is so pleasing to us.  Our younger daughter was married at the end of August and so it was a hectic but very enjoyable time.

Sadly, our beloved British Shorthair Cream cat, Teddy, passed away.  He was very popular with guests and is very much missed; we were fortunate to have known him, a very special character and impossible to replace.

Autumn is on earth did that happen?! The leaves are starting to fall and the deer are on the back field....they were actually all on the front lawn yesterday which is a most unusual sight.

The cows are getting used to their new field and they alternate between our rear field and one further over. The calves have grown so quickly but still very cute to watch them.

We can tell the season is changing to winter as most of our guests are opting for the full cooked breakfast, almost without exception!  You just need that extra warm feeling when the temperatures are dropping and we are more than happy to oblige.

We are making plans for a new en-suite bathroom in our Garden View room which will be totally gutted in January. New walk in shower, bath, toilet and basin unit will go in.  Once the new tiling and flooring are done, it will all look shiny and out for the new photos end of January 2020.  Barring any plumbing delays, it should all be ready for guests at the start of February 2020.

Our Christmas decorations go up end of November just so that those of you visiting the Bath Christmas  Market get fully into the festive spirit.  John is tasked with getting lights into the trees outside, too! Slightly resistant but a little encouragement from me and the job WILL get done!

Booking of our rooms is easy - you can do so via our website or contact us.

We hope to welcome you soon (or welcome you back if you have stayed with us before).

Best wishes
